Buzz Lightyear
“To infinity and beyond!”
Buzz Lightyear is probably one of the most modern toys in Andy’s room. Unlike Woody who is a wooden, pull-string toy, Buzz is a space ranger, supposedly from another planet but in the later part of the second Toy Story movie, he realizes that he is indeed just a toy owned by young Andy Davis. Buzz Lightyear started off as an antagonist in the Toy Story 2 but later on, he realizes that as a toy, he needs to live peacefully with the other toys; after all, in a play room, you should never play rough.
Along with Woody and the Toy Story characters, Buzz Lightyear’s costume is often seen in various costume parties; and with the release of Toy Story 3, Buzz’s, Woody’s and Jessie’s costumes will surely be seen everywhere you go this Halloween.
Buzz Lightyear’s costume is quite different from his other friends’ attires. While Woody and Jessie are seen in full cowboy and cowgirl getup, Buzz is an intergalactic warrior with rocket wings that (should) enable him to fly; however, as a toy, his intergalactic weapons are nothing more than LED lights and red beeping buttons.
To look just like the suave Buzz Lightyear, you need to don a spacesuit with a jet pack and a glass helmet.
To get the right Buzz Lightyear look, you need to find a spacesuit that comes with an attached purple hoodie. You need to keep your hair inside this hoodie at all times to look exactly like Buzz in the movies.
For kids who enjoyed the newly released Toy Story 3, getting the Buzz Lightyear costume for yourself wouldn’t be a problem since the Buzz costume comes in various sizes.
Whether you are 2 to 5 or 6 to 12 years old, there are Buzz Lightyear costumes that were made to fit smaller frames and bodies. These costumes have been patterned after the original costume as well.
