The Amazing Spiderman

Spiderman is one of the most popular Marvel superheroes who has conquered the comic book and film industry. He was created by top comic book creators, Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in the 1960′s. Originally, Spiderman was intended to have been an orphan raised by his aunt and uncle. His adventures as a superhero start during his teenage years to make it easier for the young comic book readers at the time relate to the story.

Unlike other Marvel superheroes who were either born from an alien planet, Spiderman’s road to becoming one of the most-loved superheroes started when he was bitten by a radioactive spider on the hand during a class field trip. He gradually gained abilities common to spiders including heightened agility, flexibility sensitive senses which is popularly referred to as his Spider sense, as well as the ability to shoot cobwebs from his wrist.

Spiderman is often seen swinging from one building to another with the help of his highly adhesive webs which he also uses for fighting or counter-attacking villains. Although webs may not be the most harmful weapons around, Spiderman has conquered so many villains with it making it one of the least dangerous yet highly effective superpowers.’

The Spiderman series were formally known as “The Amazing Spider-Man” and in Marvel history, it is considered to be the longest-lasting comic book series. The Amazing Spider-Man series chronicles his life as a high school student and a superhero until becoming a high school teacher, and eventually, a freelance photographer. His second job; however, was being New York City’s greatest superhero.

During his stint as a superhero, Spiderman has encountered so many villains who have also attempted to harm him, his family and the ones he has loved. Green Goblin, one of Spiderman’s worst enemies in the comic book series, murdered Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker’s first love, harmed Uncle Ben and his wife, both of whom took care of Peter since he was a baby. Despite the challenges that have affected his personal life, Peter Parker stilil tries to perform his duties as the city’s greatest superhero to restore balance to a society driven by crime.

Spider-Man often refers to himself as “the Friendly Neighborhood hero”– this gives the impression that despite being a superhero, the real Super-Man is an ordinary human being deep down.

In year 2002, the first Spiderman movie adaptation was released with Toby Maguire playing the role of Spiderman and the Green Goblin as his first enemy. His love interest in the film is Mary Jane Watson (played by Kirsten Dunst) instead of Gwen Stacy. The Spiderman series lasted 2 sequels before wrapping up in 2007, with the release of Spiderman 3. All 3 films were directed by Sam Raimi who considered the story one of the many films he loved the most.

According to Sony Pictures and Marvel, a reboot of the film merchandise is currently in the works with Andrew Garfield playing the role of Spiderman/Peter Parker. According to rumors, villains might include Christoph Waltz and several other film veterans.
