Not too long ago, Heidi Klum joked that she will be wearing an 8-foot tall Halloween costume and although those are the only details we have for now about her 2010 Halloween Costume, we’re pretty sure she has decided to go for an unusual style this year. Will she beat Lady Gaga when it comes to dressing unusually? She might try to. After all, Heidi Klum is known for holding star-studded Halloween parties and she’s known for wearing crazy costumes, as well.
Meanwhile, while our eyes are steady on Heidi Klum’s Twitter (who knows, she could making the big announcement any minute now), here are the costumes which she wore every year, from 2000 (the date her popular Hollywood party first started) down to 2009.
Year 2000– it started right here!
Heidi Klum’s popular Halloween bash started in year 2000 and she decided to be a Gothic beauty-queen then.
To capture this look, all you need is a black knee-length dress with a few Gothic props and designs to complete your raven beauty gown. If you want to start your own version of this Raven dress, here is a Gothic ensemble complete with black wings!
In 2001, Heidi Klum decided to be a notable legendary, female character. Who was she? The naked, horse-riding, Lady Godiva! And of course, because she’s cool like that, Heidi Klum marched to her party on a real horse!
You could be Lady Godiva too (a clothed one, please!) by wearing clear tights and leotards and a long golden wig (in case your hair isn’t long enough). If you want to tag a horse along, sure, go ahead, but I don’t really think there’s a parking space intended for horses.
In 2002, Heidi Klum became a head turner in a Betty Boop-inspired number. It was a simple red dress which she completed with a black wig, heavy make-up, and red glovettes.
If you’ve got Betty Boop in your “What to Wear this Halloween” list, here’s a cute, identical attire complete with glovettes and a Betty Boop wig.
In 2003, Heidi Klum decided to be a curvaceous, buxom creature from outer space complete with gold teeth. From top to toe, Heidi Klum was an alien who simply radiated on the dance floor!
We really have to hand it to Heidi Klum– her space alien costume was unmatched! However, if you’ve seen James Cameron’s Avatar, keep in mind Neytiri is an alien herself (and a pretty one) so if you’ve wanted to be a different creature this year, this Neytiri costume is the perfect pick!
In 2004, long before Tim Burton thought of the Red Queen, Heidi Klum was the Red Witch with even a skeleton backpack to complete her look. She definitely added a twist to the old and common witch costume.
Although Heidi’s red witch get-up can’t be found anywhere else, here’s what we got instead: a black and violet sexy, witch costume. This Sexy Sorceress costume comes complete with a witch hat too!
In 2005, we could clearly tell Heidi Klum foresaw how big the vampire trend would be so she decided to go ahead and popularize the vampire culture. Here she is with a custom-made vampire dress complete with an unusual prop– her (fake) heart is beating outside of her clothes!
If you’re interested in wearing the same sultry attire, here is a vampire seductress gown complete with a black cape.
In 2006, Heidi Klum became Eve, the apple eater from the Garden of Eden. Her red and green number reminded us of Christmas until we look at her body art and then we realized a body-painted snake was climbing around her body. Heidi Klum thought this would be a good way to cover her 8-month baby bump and it worked alright!
To pull off the same look but with a sexier twist, this Sexy Eve frock complete with a stuffed boa and an apple handbag will surely be a good alternative to Heidi’s costume.
In 2007, Heidi Klum decided to give a nod to Catwoman and cat lovers everywhere by dressing up as a modelesque feline herself. She topped her look with face paint and faux fur ears and a tail. Finally, to show how much she loves Seal, her heart-shaped tag read “If lost, please return to Seal.”
If you want an identical look but not look like Catwoman, here is a sexy feline ensemble that comes complete with a pair of cat ears.
2008 was such a shocking year for Heidi Klum fans everywhere. Not only did she decide to go all out, she also decided to be a Hindu goddess. Her pick? Kali, the goddess of time and change, but in other sources, she was known as the goddess of annihilation! It’s a good thing the real Heidi isn’t as murderous as Kali though! Her Kali costume featured 8 hands (they were made of light plaster and were attached on her back the same way you would carry a backpack) and she was adorned to the last detail with heads, skulls and jewelry.
It will be difficult to find a Kali costume from department stores but if you want to wear something Indian-themed, you could be a Bollywood beauty!
Last year, Heidi Klum went poetic with inspirations from Edgar Allan Poe’s poem, “Nevermore”. She was the raven with husband Seal dressed up as the raven’s male counterpart.
To look like the Raven from Nevermore, what you need is face paint. Cover your arms and face with it and don this beautiful black feathered dress. You may choose to wear the feathered headpiece or you may also complete your look with black wings.
