Wolverine is one of the many “smart” superheroes out there who know how they should wear their suit. Unlike other Marvel superheroes such as Batman and Superman, Wolverine is one of the intelligent few who diverted from the usual cape and jumpsuit superhero costume ensemble. Furthermore, by not wearing his underwear outside, the way Batman and Superman do, we can say that Wolverine knows how to use his common sense.
Just like other superheroes though, Wolverine makes use of a wolf-life mask to hide his true human features from adversaries. Whether this is a mechanism to defend his identity and to separate his normal life from his superhero reputation, the popular Wolverine mask has become a top costume choice as well.
Over the years, the Wolverine mask had various design revisions. In the cartoon series, Wolverine is seen with two horn-like pieces protruding at the top of his mask but later on, this sharp pair of mask add-ons have become duller and shorter. Is this Wolverine’s way of telling us he isn’t as violent as he was before?
If you find these protruding horns too scary for kids to see, you could try the temporary Wolverine face tattoo instead. You’ll never have to worry about this accessory from falling off when it is plastered directly on to your face!
Aside from Wolverine’s mask, his wolf-like hairdo and really long sideburns have become his signature look when he isn’t wearing his X-Men suit. If you compare his mask and his hair-do though, you would think those horns protruding from his mask are just extra space to accommodate his hair.
